I have been doing Zumba for 9 months and enjoy going to class twice a week. It is
a great total body work out and is so much fun you forget you are exercising! I
have tried other exercise programs but eventually lose interest. With Zumba the
music is always changing and Lourdes keeps it fun and challenging. I have had
two knee surgeries and it has helped me regain my strength and flexibility. It is fun
for all ages as my daughter even enjoys going with me when she is home from
college. If you enjoy music and dancing you should give Zumba a try.    ~ Debbie
 I started with Lourdes Uribe-Beard's Zumba group about August of 2007 and the impact on my
life and body has been tremendous.  As of today I have lost 32 pounds and I now have some of the
curves that have been missing for about 10 years. The freindship and comaradarie also help me to
keep going back to the classes. I love the way I feel after class and always wish the classes were
longer. My husband also has noticed the difference the classes have made in me both physically and
mentally.  I hope I can keep doing Zumba into my 80's.  Awhile back I had missed about 3 classes
and was starting to feel draggy and my husband must have noticed how I was feeling also because
he was talking in his sleep one night and said I had better get back to Zumba or everyone was going

THANK GOD FOR ZUMBA!!!!!! My name is Cathy and I’m 47 years young. All my life I have
struggled with weight, and not feeling good about my body! I have tried every exercise equipment,
several gym memberships that never seemed to last, and numerous exercise classes that just didn't
seem to fit. Then, in January 2008, along came ZUMBA. I can honestly say that is been the best
work out ever! In a short 3 months I have toned in places I never thought possible. Big thanks go to
Lourdes. Her spirit and energy is amazing and she makes the workout so much fun when in reality
she is kicking our butts! Zumba has made a huge difference in my life. I now feel so much
healthier, and seeing results for all the hard work is a bonus! I love it when friends and family
comment on how great I look. My goal was to be fit by “50” and I know I’m on the right track.

I have so much fun in this class! Zumba makes my Mondays and Wednesdays worthwhile. I knew
that I wanted to get into better shape, and I also knew I hated the gym. I've always had fun dancing
at clubs so when I heard about Zumba, I couldn't resist! I was hooked by the end of the first class.
A group of women, dancing, having a good time and breakin' a sweat! What's not to love?    ~ Amy
On my 50th birthday I was recovering from having a hysterectomy. It took me about six months to
start feeling like my old self again. In the meantime, I had gained about 10 extra pounds and didn’t
have the energy I used to. I saw a newspaper article about Zumba and thought it looked like
something I might want to try. I have always loved dancing and used to take a lot of organized
dance lessons, so this seemed like something I would enjoy. Since last summer, I have lost about 8-
9 pounds and have firmed up and increased my body’s overall muscle tone. I always leave Zumba
class feeling better mentally and physically. Lourdes makes the class fun and encourages us all to
feel our inner beauty. Zumba class is a great place to get into shape and meet new friends. I love it!
